What are the different styles of whisky you produce at WLD?

We offer a full range of contract distilling services, including single malt whisky, blended whisky, and grain whisky production. Whether you need to scale up your existing recipe, diversify your whisky portfolio, or acquire matured whisky stock, we are your trusted partner.

What barrel options are available for aging?

At White Label Distillery, we provide expert guidance to help you select the perfect cask for your custom whisky. During our initial consultation, we’ll work with you to find a cask that matches your vision, flavour goals and budget—ensuring a whisky that meets your exact specifications.
Our extensive cask options include:
• Ex-Bourbon Casks
• Ex-Australian Fortified Casks
• Ex-Spanish Wine Casks
• Ex-Spirit Casks
With sizes ranging from 50L to 200L and maturity periods of 2 to 10 years, you can craft a whisky that’s truly your own.

What grains do you offer?

We have relationships with grain producers across Tasmania and mainland Australia, giving us access to a diverse range of high-quality ingredients. The list includes malted barley, corn, rye, wheat and unmalted barley, and even less common grains like rice and oats.

As we learn more about your vision, we’ll guide you through the sourcing process to ensure the best fit for your project.

What distillation methods do you use?

We are a purpose-built contract distillery, dedicated to producing exceptional spirits using the finest ingredients Tasmania has to offer. At the heart of our operations are four Tasmanian-built Knapp Lewer copper pot stills—chosen for their ability to craft premium whisky and spirits with precision and depth.

Our decision to install copper pot stills was driven by decades of expertise in distillation. These expertly designed stills enhance flavours, preserve the unique characteristics of each brew, and create a full-bodied, refined spirit.
By blending science with artistry, we ensure every drop meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship you desire.

What is the project timeline - from our first consultation until I have a whisky to enjoy?

The timeline for producing your spirit depends on several factors. The type of spirit matters—whisky requires barrel aging, while vodka and gin do not. If you're making whisky, the aging period you choose will also impact the timeline.

Another consideration is the recipe. Do you want a completely custom formulation, or would you prefer to select from our pre-developed recipes?
Packaging can also take time, especially if you're opting for a unique bottle shape or custom design.
